The House that Looks at the Sea is located in one of the most emblematic coastal areas of Valencia, an environment that invites contemplation of the beauty of the Mediterranean. This refurbishment project for a dwelling is fundamentally based on the visual and spatial connection with the sea, a desire expressed by the client who sought to transform their home into a refuge where natural light and panoramic views take centre stage. The intervention has been carried out in an existing building, respecting its original structure while modernising its elements to adapt them to a contemporary lifestyle.

The internal layout of the house has been reconfigured to maximise the relationship between the interior spaces and the exterior landscape. Upon entering, a fluid sequence is perceived that flows from the reception area to the living room, which opens completely onto a wide terrace through large windows. This key space becomes the heart of the dwelling, ideal for enjoying family gatherings and moments of tranquillity. The private areas, such as the bedrooms, are strategically located at the back, ensuring privacy and comfort, while also offering views of the natural surroundings.

Regarding materials and finishes, a warm and natural palette has been chosen, predominantly featuring wood and stone. The use of large-format ceramic flooring in soft tones provides continuity and brightness to the spaces, while wooden details in furniture and cladding add warmth and a handcrafted touch. The large glass windows not only allow light to enter but also create a serene atmosphere, where the sound of the waves becomes part of the everyday environment. The refurbishment has been carried out under sustainability criteria, using low-impact materials that enhance thermal and acoustic comfort, thus contributing to the creation of a home that breathes harmony with its surroundings.
