La Casa de la Pagoda

La Pagoda is a dwelling located in one of the most emblematic towers in the Alameda area, a landmark building in the skyline of Valencia. The intervention is based on a clear premise: to recover the visual spaciousness of the space, integrate the terrace as a lively room, and enhance the direct relationship with the natural environment of the old course of the river Turia.

The project by BTTEstudio focuses on redistributing the day area to open the living room, dining room, and terrace into a single continuous and luminous spatial sequence. The new configuration eliminates visual barriers, enhancing natural light and framing the views with large continuous leaf windows.

The interior is defined by a neutral and warm aesthetic: white tones, light wood, and soft textiles that create a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The natural oak effect flooring unifies the entire space, while the minimalist joinery and clean-lined furniture provide a timeless language.

A reinterpreted structural lattice element is introduced, acting as a transition between areas without visually closing off the spaces. This gesture, along with the corner fireplace and classic details such as the restored chandelier, creates a balanced dialogue between modernity and memory.

The terrace is incorporated as a natural extension of the living room thanks to the continuity of the flooring and the use of lightweight furniture. The glazed enclosure allows for its use throughout the year without losing the connection to the outside.

La Pagoda is an example of how we reinterpret contemporary domestic space without renouncing warmth or the identity of the place.
