Hotel Rest. el Rebost

The project for Hotel Restaurante El Rebost, located in Castellón, arises as a response to the need to create a space that combines local gastronomy with a welcoming and contemporary atmosphere. Situated in an area of increasing tourist attraction, the client’s brief focused on creating a venue that not only served as a restaurant but also offered a comprehensive experience to visitors, highlighting the culture and heritage of the region.

The layout of the space has been designed to be functional and fluid, prioritising the comfort of diners. Upon entering, there is a reception area that connects to the main dining room, where the tables are arranged to encourage both intimacy and social interaction. Key elements have been incorporated, such as a recycled wood bar that serves as a focal point, as well as a private event space that allows for greater versatility in the use of the venue. Natural light, filtered through large windows, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, encouraging customers to enjoy their stay in the restaurant.

Regarding materials and finishes, a palette has been chosen that reflects the essence of the local environment. Natural wood, stone, and handcrafted ceramics combine to create a rustic yet sophisticated ambiance. The walls, clad in terracotta-toned tiles, add a touch of colour and warmth to the space, while the furniture, with its simple lines and light wood finishes, contributes to a sense of lightness. Attention to detail is evident in the wrought iron finishes and the choice of ergonomic furniture, which ensure both functionality and comfort. Overall, the design aims to provide a relaxing atmosphere, where each element is intended to enhance the culinary experience and connection with the local culture.
