The project for Restaurante Iván was conceived with a clear objective: to update the identity of the venue without losing its essence as a classic bar, enhancing warmth, functionality, and the customer experience. At BTTEstudio, we have carried out a full refurbishment that combines natural materials, a clean design, and discreet acoustic solutions to create a contemporary and welcoming space.

The new aesthetic is articulated through a palette of timeless materials:

• Natural wood in tables, paneling, and flooring, providing continuity and visual comfort.
• Reinterpreted hydraulic tiles, which introduce texture and character at the entrance and in the dining area.
• Vertical ceramic cladding at the bar, with integrated lighting to create an elegant and functional focal point.

The result is a bright, orderly, and balanced environment, capable of accommodating both café service and dining activities throughout the day.

One of the main challenges of the project was to improve acoustic comfort without altering the aesthetics of the space. To achieve this, suspended sound-absorbing panels were designed to visually integrate into the ceiling, respecting the calm of the venue and significantly enhancing the user experience.

The refurbishment reorganises the furniture to maximise capacity without compromising comfort. The arrangement of tables and aisles has been studied to ensure:

• Fluidity in the movement of staff and customers.
• Complete visibility from the entrance.
• A clear reading of the space, where the bar becomes the focal element.

Restaurante Iván maintains its essence as a neighbourhood meeting point, but now exudes a renewed, more contemporary, and friendly aesthetic. The design combines tradition and modernity, creating a warm, functional space that is coherent with the client’s identity.
