LA CASA EN BLANCO

This full refurbishment project is located in a privileged setting in Valencia, next to the old riverbed of the Turia and just a few metres from the Calatrava bridge. The dwelling is based on a consolidated structural foundation, to which a new identity is given based on light, the purity of lines, and the honesty of materials.

The interior is constructed from a white chromatic palette, designed to enhance natural brightness and create a serene, clean, and contemporary atmosphere. The warmth of the natural wood flooring, in contrast with the white walls, introduces balance and texture, giving the space a welcoming and sophisticated character.

One of the fundamental pillars of the project has been the respect for the original elements of the building. The existing wooden joinery has been preserved and refurbished, carefully integrating it into the new architectural language, where past and present coexist naturally.

The kitchen and bathrooms are defined by a selection of high-end technical materials, such as Corian, which allows for seamless finishes with no visible joints, and large ceramic tiles measuring 240×120 cm in matte white, used to completely clad the wet areas, providing spaciousness, durability, and elegance.

The result is a bright dwelling, where each design decision responds to a quest for spatial quality, functionality, and formal balance. A project that demonstrates how architecture can transform the existing without renouncing the original elements of the building.
