This full refurbishment project in the Antiguo Reino area completely transforms a traditional dwelling into a spacious, contemporary, and coherent space, where natural light and the warmth of the materials become the main features.
From the outset, the objective was to open up the spaces and improve everyday functionality without compromising a friendly, neutral, and timeless aesthetic. A fluid layout was designed that connects the living room, dining room, and kitchen, creating a single continuous environment that maximises brightness and enhances the feeling of spaciousness.
The day area is articulated by a large beige sofa that provides visual serenity and balances the palette of the rest of the dwelling. Lightweight furniture and natural vegetation introduce freshness without overwhelming the space.
An art piece with sandy textures is integrated, acting as a visual focal point and chromatically connecting with the flooring and white joinery. The built-in shelves complete the ensemble, providing functionality and a clean architectural finish.
The kitchen, designed with white lacquered fronts and a porcelain countertop in a cement finish, offers an elegant and practical image in equal measure.
The overhead and under-cabinet lighting was designed to ensure optimal visual comfort in each work area.
A continuous shelf adds character and allows for the display of decorative pieces without breaking the minimalist line of the ensemble.
The bathrooms are completely reconfigured to include suspended furniture, backlit mirrors, and integrated storage solutions.
The combination of white, natural wood, and stone tones conveys a sense of calm and cleanliness that enhances the user experience.
In the bedroom, harmony is prioritised through a very neutral palette, lightweight furniture, and a wooden headboard that adds warm texture without detracting from brightness.
The integrated storage is resolved with custom wardrobes that keep the space tidy without interfering with the overall aesthetic.
The result is a fully updated dwelling, balanced and designed to accompany daily life naturally.
Every decision—from the visual continuity of the flooring to the choice of textiles, lighting, and furniture—reflects a pursuit of comfort, light, and well-designed simplicity.
