The Casa del Artista is located in an emblematic neighbourhood of Valencia, where architectural tradition intertwines with contemporary life. This refurbishment project aims to revitalise a space that, although it possessed historical character, required adaptation to the current needs of its owner, an artist who desired an inspiring and functional refuge. The fundamental premise of the design was to create an environment that favoured both creativity and coexistence, maintaining a dialogue with the urban and natural context surrounding the dwelling.

The layout of the house has been reconfigured to maximise natural light and the connection between the different spaces. Upon entering, one accesses a spacious living room that integrates with a studio, where the owner can work and create. This space is characterised by its flexibility, allowing activities to flow without interruptions. The open-concept kitchen visually connects with the dining area, promoting social interaction. Features such as a central staircase with contemporary design and large windows offering views of the back garden are highlighted points that add dynamism and functionality to the overall layout of the dwelling.

Regarding materials and finishes, a palette that combines the contemporary with the traditional has been chosen. Microcement flooring in neutral tones has been used to provide continuity and spaciousness, while the walls have been coated with eco-friendly paint, favouring a healthy environment. Natural wood has been incorporated in elements such as the staircase and built-in furniture, adding warmth to the space. The final atmosphere is characterised by brightness and comfort, thanks to a careful selection of lighting that enhances the spaces, creating a cosy home that breathes art and creativity. Every detail has been considered to offer not only aesthetics but also functionality, achieving a perfect balance between art and everyday life.
