The project “The Italian Garden” is located in the heart of Valencia, in an urban environment characterised by its rich history and vibrant social life. This commercial space, designed as a restaurant, arises from the client’s need to create a space that reflects the essence of Italian cuisine, while fostering a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere for its diners. The design premise focuses on the integration of natural elements that evoke an Italian garden, achieving a balance between culinary tradition and a contemporary environment.

The layout of the restaurant is organised into different areas that allow for various dining experiences. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a bar area that invites socialisation, followed by a main dining room where natural wood tables have been arranged, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Semi-private spaces, delineated by panels of vegetation and exposed brick walls, offer intimacy without losing connection to the rest of the venue. Notable design elements include a large mural depicting a Tuscan landscape, as well as carefully designed lighting that highlights the warmth of the materials and the richness of the colours used.

In terms of materials, a palette has been chosen that combines the rusticity of brick, the warmth of wood, and the freshness of plants. The finishes include handcrafted ceramic tiles that evoke Italian tradition, along with contemporary designed furniture in neutral tones that allow the natural details to take centre stage. The final atmosphere aims to transport diners to an authentic Italian garden, where natural light filters through large windows, creating a welcoming and lively space. Technical details such as an efficient climate control system and appropriate acoustics ensure the comfort of both customers and staff, making “The Italian Garden” a benchmark in restaurant design in Valencia.
