Located in the heart of Valencia, the project for the restaurant La Barra de Kaymus represents a fusion of contemporary gastronomy and an interior design that invites social interaction. The client’s brief sought to create a space that not only offered quality service but also reflected a Mediterranean essence, where every detail contributed to an immersive culinary experience. The location, in a dynamic and bustling area, becomes a meeting point for lovers of good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

The layout of the restaurant has been conceived to maximise the flow and comfort of diners. The bar stands out as a central element, facilitating interaction between staff and customers, while the tables are arranged in a way that promotes both intimacy and the social character of the place. Differentiated spaces, such as cozier corners and open areas, allow visitors to choose their experience according to their preferences. The lighting, carefully planned, highlights the architectural elements and creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, essential for a memorable dining experience.

Regarding materials and finishes, a palette has been chosen that evokes the tradition and modernity of the surroundings. The terracotta-toned ceramic floors are combined with furniture made of natural oak wood, adding warmth and a sense of authenticity. The walls, clad with handcrafted tiles, add a touch of colour and texture, while the black metal details provide a subtle industrial air. The final atmosphere is a balance between elegance and informality, designed for visitors to enjoy every moment at La Barra de Kaymus, turning the culinary experience into an aesthetic and sensory delight.
