Casa Meme is a full refurbishment project that brings new life to a traditional dwelling in the historic centre of Mora de Rubielos, transforming it into a charming small hotel designed to enjoy the natural surroundings and the relaxed pace of life in inland Teruel.
The intervention respects the building’s original rustic essence, incorporating warm materials such as natural wood, handcrafted ceramics, and soft textiles that provide comfort and authenticity. The interior design combines a very light contemporary style with traditional details that preserve the spirit of the house, creating welcoming, bright spaces full of character.
The apartments and rooms are organised around spacious and functional layouts, designed for long and comfortable stays. The fully equipped kitchens, furniture in natural tones, and warm lighting turn each space into a home in the mountains. Many of the units also feature terraces with views of the rooftops and the rural landscapes of the area, an added value that enhances the connection with the surroundings.
On the ground floor, the common area is conceived as a meeting space: a rustic lounge with furniture made of fibres, robust woods, and a relaxed atmosphere that invites leisurely enjoyment. This space opens onto an interior patio that provides natural light and ventilation, maintaining the Mediterranean essence of traditional houses.
Casa Meme thus becomes a boutique accommodation where tradition and comfort coexist in a balanced manner, offering an authentic experience in a privileged natural setting.
