CHERRY BLOSSOM

BTTEstudio Arquitectura completely transformed an old beauty salon into a vibrant, warm café full of identity in the heart of Valencia, on Calle Moratín. The aim of the project was to create a space capable of offering an immersive experience from the very first step, combining interior design, lighting, and a central sculptural piece that defines the entire concept.

The standout element is a large ornamental Japanese cherry tree, custom-designed and strategically placed in the central axis of the venue. Its flowering branches extend over the tables, generating shade, warmth, and an almost theatrical atmosphere. This gesture becomes the guiding thread of the design: a place intended for enjoyment, photography, and remembrance.

The project combines a warm palette with fabrics in wine tones, natural wood, and geometric paneling that adds visual rhythm. A system of continuous benches was designed to provide comfort and optimise the venue’s capacity, along with circular tables to encourage smooth circulation.

The metal lattices and decorative arches introduce verticality and lightness, creating a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity. The indirect lighting enhances each texture and generates a welcoming atmosphere both day and night.

The intervention involved a complete transformation of the space:

• Redesign of the interior layout to adapt it to its new use as a café.
• Integration of custom furniture to maximise comfort and capacity.
• Incorporation of natural and ornamental elements that reinforce the atmosphere of the venue.
• Complete update of installations, finishes, and lighting systems.

The result is an establishment with a strong personality, capable of standing out in a highly frequented area of central Valencia.

The new venue is a space that invites one to disconnect from the urban rhythm while enjoying a coffee under a blossoming cherry tree. A project that demonstrates how a full refurbishment and a clear concept can completely redefine the identity of a business.
