ALBACORA

The Albacora project is located in the heart of Valencia, in a neighbourhood characterised by its dynamism and diversity. This commercial space, intended for the sale of gourmet products, presents an interesting challenge: to combine the functionality of a retail space with a welcoming atmosphere that invites customer experience. The client’s brief requested a design that not only showcased the products effectively but also reflected the essence of local gastronomy, creating an environment that felt genuinely Valencian.

The layout of the space is organised around a natural flow that guides visitors through the different sections. The entrance opens to an exhibition area where fresh products are highlighted, surrounded by light wood shelves that provide a sense of warmth. A central space allows for tastings and presentations, encouraging interaction and discovery. Elements such as a custom-made counter, crafted from corten steel, add a modern and robust contrast to the design, while the integrated LED lighting creates an intimate and attractive atmosphere.

In terms of materials, a palette combining natural wood, steel, and ceramic details has been chosen, evoking the tradition of Valencian pottery. The walls are finished with a textured plaster that adds depth to the space, while the porcelain stoneware floor mimics the appearance of stone, providing durability and ease of maintenance. The final atmosphere is warm and inviting, enhanced by soft lighting that highlights the products and creates a comfortable environment for customers. Every detail has been carefully considered to establish a dialogue between the interior and the urban surroundings, turning Albacora into a meeting point for lovers of fine gastronomy.
